The Performing Arts Department has recently allowed The Gioi Phu Nu (Women’s World) newspaper to bring back its Miss Photo beauty pageant after a 6-year hiatus.

Vietnamese female nationals aged from 18 to 27 can send their non-photoshopped photos to the contest’s official website at www.missphotovietnam.com by November 15.

Contestants are also required to have graduated from high school, be unmarried and not have had transgender surgery or given birth.

The 25 contestants with the best photos will be selected for the final night, which will include ao dai, evening gown and swimsuit performances, as well as a Q and A session.

The winner will receive VND100million in cash and be on The Gioi Phu Nu’s cover during her tenure year.

Formed as Miss Vietnam Photogenic in 2000, the contest has added many big names to the local modeling industry, including Nguyen Anh Thu, Nguyen Xuan Lan, Ha Anh, Hoang Yen, Vu Thu Phuong, Truong Thi May, Duong My Linh, Trang Nhung and Chung Thuc Quyen.

The finale is scheduled to take place in December in Ho Chi Minh City.
