Vo Hong Quan, a vocal music student at the Virty-sur-Seine Music College, was crowned Miss Spring 2011 at a beauty contest for Vietnamese students in France on February 12

Quan, 20, beat 15 contestants to win the title at the Armande Bejart Theatre in Paris. She was awarded a scholarship to study in France after gaining outstanding academic achievements in HCM City Conservatory of Music.

The first runner-up is Nguyen Tuyet Mai, from the Paris Sorbonne 2 University while Tran Thanh Tam, from the Paris 11 University is the second runner-up. Tam also won Miss Photogenic and Miss Ao Dai (traditional long dress of Vietnam).

The beauty pageant is an annual event organized by of the Vietnam Students’ Association in France.

After the contest, the winner will participate in many activities including assisting Vietnamese students in France and acting as an ambassador offriendship between Vietnam and international friends.
