The third Buon Ma Thuot
Coffee Festival closed on March 15 evening with seven national records
recognized by the Vietnam
Record Book
Center.

The records consist
of: The largest coffee festival; the largest Central Highland street parade; the
largest coffee filter; the biggest book with the cover made by coffee gnarl;
the book with the smallest number of copies; director of the largest
installation art show by coffee nuts, and the largest coffee museum in Vietnam.

At the festival,
the Ministry of Science and Technology presented the Golden Cup for
High-quality Coffee Products to 20 coffee producers.

The coffee fest
2011 is organized in bigger scale than the previous two and is the first national-scale
fest organized once every two years.

This year, there
are new activities such as exhibition of coffee-related items from around the
world and the opening of a coffee trading floor.

The fest has
introduced Vietnamese culture as well as the daily life of tribal people in the
Central Highlands to tourists. It is also an opportunity to promote Vietnamese
coffee to the world.

The fourth coffee
fest will be held in March 2013 in Buon Ma Thuot City.

As of 2011, the
Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival will become a national event, which will be held
each two years, on March 10.
