The Nhieu Loc canal, Ban Nguyet lake, Thu Thiem bridge and modern buildings are photos that show the development of Saigon today. These pictures are introduced at an exhibition celebrating the country’s 36^th unification (April 30) in HCM City.

Nhieu Loc canal was previously covered by slums. This is today’s canal.

HCM City is developing with many new construction works. This is the Ban Nguyet lake

complex with four 7-story buildings and a shopping mall that meets international standard.

The city looked from the Saigon River. Tourists can make a boat trip along the river.

Nguyen Huu Canh road – Thu Thiem bridge was opened for traffic in January 2011.

This road has paved the way for turning the Thu Thiem peninsula into a

modern residential area and a trade and finance center of HCM City.
