Over 100 artworks made from fruits and seeds were displayed at the “Southern Fruit Festival 2011” in HCM City’s Suoi Tien park, to mark 100 years since President Ho Chi Minh left Vietnam to seek ways to liberate the country from colonialism.

Over 100 artworks made from fruits and seeds were displayed at the “Southern Fruit Festival 2011” in HCM City’s Suoi Tien park, to mark 100 years since President Ho Chi Minh left Vietnam to seek ways to liberate the country from colonialism.

The festival attracted artisans from 13 southern provinces. The event is
recognized as a Vietnam’s record for “Festival with the highest number
of artworks made from fruits”.

This work is made from rice, sesame, beans, fruits and vegetable,
featuring President Ho Chi Minh’s portrait and Nha Rong Port.



“Nha Rong Port–where Uncle Ho left Vietnam to seek ways to liberate the country”,
by artisan Phan Hong Dung from Hoc Mon District, HCM City.


“Being grateful for President Ho’s merit” by an artisan from District 12, HCM City.


The “Latouche - Treville” ship, which brought President Ho abroad in 1911.


“You are the world’s great man” by Nguyen Thanh Giau.


“Vietnam remembers your steps forever”, by Nguyen Hoang Thanh from Vung Tau city.
