VietNamNet Bridge – More than 1,900 universities, colleges, schools and kindergartens in Ho Chi Minh City will be provided with preferential internet services by the Military Telecommunication Corporation (Viettel).

This is part of a contract signed on Nov. 17 between Viettel and the City’s Department of Education and Training, which itself will also be provided with the services together with twenty four district-level education departments.

Viettel is implementing a national plan to connect all schools to the internet, which is part of efforts by the Ministry of Education and Training to promote IT application in education in the 2008-2012 period.
