Both the mother and child were in good condition, doctors said. According to doctors, 30-year-old Ha Thi Nga could not give birth naturally because of health problems.

The medical staff, who were surprised by the size of the newborn, said prior ultrasounds had not prepared them for such a big baby.

The girl was the second child of Nga, a resident at Ia Ly Commune of Chu Pah District.
