VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Health on February 28
said that three dead cases by type A/H1N1 flu have been recorded so far this
year. The flu can become an epidemic in some locations.

According to the Institute for Epidemiology and Pasteur
Institute, Vietnam
has had 159 type A/H1N1 patients in 19 provinces and cities so far this year.

Most of the patients quickly recovered but three patients in
Hanoi, Bac
Giang and Thua Thien-Hue city provinces died.

Experts said that the number of type A/H1N1 patients in the
first two months of 2011 is much higher than the same period of 2010.

Notably, type A/H1N1 flu attacked some schools and
residential areas in Dien Bien, Ben Tre and Thua Thien-Hue provinces in late February
2011.

The latest news, 224 cases of swine flu infection have been
reported in Giao Thanh commune of Thanh Phu District, the southern province of Ben Tre since February 15.

Two kindergarten children, 144 students from primary to high
schools and 8 of their teachers, along with 78 other residents in the area
tested positive to A/H1N1.

Local authorities said that although swine flu is spreading
rapidly across schools and nearby communities, it is under control
