PM signs press pact

| Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has signed a decision to issue a statute to ensure government authorities cooperate to provide information to the press. |
Under the statute, the Information and Communication, Finance, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, and Foreign Affairs ministries and the State Bank of Vietnam will have to cooperate to provide local and foreign press agencies information about policies, management solutions and economic development plans of the party and the government. The information must be official, prompt, accurate, public and transparent in order to explain issues to the local and foreign public and stabilize and create trust among investors and the people. The ministries will periodically provide information to the press in the form of printed documents, oral statements by spokespeople and press releases. Source: VNA |
