Prime Minister Nguyen
Tan Dung has nominated top officials for the Vietnam Television (VTV), Vietnam
Airlines Corporation (Vietnam
Airlines) and Vietnam
Chemical Group.

Tran Dung Trinh,
Director of VTV’s Center for Research and Application of Television Science and
Technology, is appointed as Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Television
as of May 23, 2011.

In March 2011,
VTV’s Deputy General Director, Tran Dang Tuan resigned. was a hot topic on the local media at that time. He is now
General Director of AVG (Audio Visual Global JSC), a private media group.

Earlier, on April
19, journalist Tran Binh Minh, Party Central Committee’s member, VTV’s Deputy
Geneeral Director was appointed as VTV’s General Director, replacing Vu Van
Hien.

Pham Viet Thanh,
Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, is appointed as Chairman of the
Board of Members of Vietnam Airlines as of June 1, 2011.

The Prime Minister
nominated Nguyen Quoc Tuan, Chair of the Executive Board of the Vietnam
Chemical Group, as Chair of the group’s Board of Members as of May 23, 2011.
Other members include Nguyen Dinh Khang, the group’s General Director, Lai Cao
Hien and Nguyen Gia Tuong.
