VietNamNet Bridge – Helene Kling has been living in Vietnam for over 15 years. She is preparing for a solo exhibition entitled “Art Beat for Vietnam” in HCM City.

“It has taken me two years to prepare for this exhibition,” she said. The upcoming exhibition is a significant landmark in Helene Kling’s career, which shows her love for this country.

“Everything here has been changing very fast. Compared to 15 years ago, the streets are now crowded with motorbikes and cars instead of deliberate bicycles. Women are more modern in thinking and lifestyle. Especially, they are moving forward too fast,” she said.

However, Vietnam still maintains its peacefulness, plainness and warmness in Helene Kling’s paintings.

“Art Beat for Vietnam” will take place from May 13 to 16 at the HCM City Exhibition House. The French artist will also launch her photo book of the same name. The book introduces her latest artworks and her viewpoints, feeling as well as sharing her private life.

Apart from drawing, Helene Kling teaches painting at home.

Helene Kling was born in 1963 in Meudon, France. She graduated from the Paris Art and Cosmetics College in 1982. She came to Vietnam in 1996 and has worked as a professional painter since then.
