Vietnam Next Top Model 2010’s runner-up, Tuyet Lan won the top prize of the Asian Model Talent Search, which closed on May 6 in Singapore.

In the finale, Tuyet Lan and 14 Asian models captivated the judges and audience after some impressive performances. A judging panel accounted for 80 percent of the final votes, while the remaining ballots came from the audience.

Tuyet Lan was the competition’s winner.

She expressed her surprise and happiness after the competition. “Becoming the runner-up of the Vietnam’s Next Top Model has surely enhanced my confidence, though I was still nervous in this competition. I saw many wonderful models from other countries,” she said.

“I’m really surprised at my victory. I’m very happy and my heart is beating strongly right now. I didn’t expect that I would pass all other models”.

The Asian Model Talent Search awarded its winner a US$10,000 cash prize and a chance to be trained as an international model.

Tuyet Lan said she would contribute part of the prize to Japanese victims and Vietnamese disabled children.

First launched by Her World Singapore last year, the beauty contest took place from April 6 to 9 in Singapore, with the participation of top models hailing from Asian countries including: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, India and Vietnam.
