With some of the strong contenders playing at home or against weaker teams this weekend, the V-League points table is likely to assume a more normal look.

Defending champions and in-form team Ha Noi T&T will have a difficult trip to Dong Thap in an early fixture today. Though Dong Thap, the leaders with 14 points, are always tough nuts at home, Ha Noi T&T are in prime form after three wins in a row.

Moreover, Dong Thap no longer have the advantage of surprise and teams now know what they need to do to neutralise the threat from Nigerian striker Samson Kayode, who is the top scorer along with Brazilian Evaldo Goncaves of Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

SHB Da Nang, who slipped to third place after winning a solitary point from their last two games, are favoured to beat Lam Son Thanh Hoa, who will have key defender John Wole sitting out after being red-carded last week.

Another title contender, Becamex Binh Duong, who lie fifth with 11 points, are expected to return to the top three after bringing in Brazilian Leandro De Olivera and Nigerian Joseph Obina Nwafor.

Binh Duong are likely to win full points though their opponents Song Lam Nghe An are second-placed and possess many good young players.

In-form Hoang Anh Gia Lai will travel to Hoa Phat Ha Noi while struggling Dong Tam Long An will have a chance to bag their first point after three matches against Navibank Sai Gon.

Struggling Ninh Binh will face mid-table visitors Vicem Hai Phong at home and Khatoco Khanh Hoa will take on bottom-placed Ha Noi ACB.
