VietNamNet Bridge – Football Dream - the program to select amateur football talents at the age of 13-15 for a three-year training course in Qatar’s Aspire Institute will be held in April.

This year’s selection will take place from April at 60 football grounds in 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam, with the participation of 60,000 contestants from 13-15 years old.

After two rounds, experts will choose the 50 best for the finale in August in HCM City.

In the finale, experts from the Aspire Football Institute will pick up three best contestants who will represent Vietnam at the international final round in Qatar. The top 20 in this round will be trained for three years at the Aspire Institute for free.

This year, “Football Dream” will be organized in 13 countries, including four in Asia – Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia.

The jury of “Football Dream Vietnam” includes coaches of the Barcelona youth team, who have discovered world football stars like Lionel Messi, Giovani Dos Santos and Bojan Krkic.

This is the fourth time this program has been held in Vietnam. In 2009, Nguyen Thai Sung, 16, from Da Nang won a scholarship to study in Qatar.

Last year, three players – Le Van Chung, Cao Van Hoe (Da Nang) and Nguyen Viet Thang (Long An) – entered the international finale but they were not chosen as the top 20.
