HTV Cycling Cup 2011 gets underway

The 23rd Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) Cycling Cup 2011 started on Thursday in Ho Chi Minh City with 14 participating teams from around the country. The nine-stage 1,075km tour will wind through Vung Tau, Phan Thiet, Phan Rang, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Bao Loc and end in Ho Chi Minh City on the 30th. The event organizers will award cash prizes of more than VND300 million (US$14,400), with the fastest cyclist receiving VND40 million, and the second and third receiving VND20 million and VND10 million respectively.
