Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) stayed on top of V-League rankings with 26 points after a 2-0 home win over Hanoi ACB at Vinh Stadium in a 11th-round match on Sunday.

Jamaican striker Andre Diego Fagan’s double pushed the capital side back down to the bottom with seven points as 2005-06 champions Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) took an away win over Hoa Phat Hanoi at the Hang Day Stadium.

DTLA’s win pushed it off the bottom with nine points to 13th place while Hoa Phat Hanoi remained in 12th place with 11 points.

2009 champions Da Nang were held to a 1-1 draw at their home stadium of Chi Lang by 2007-08 champs Binh Duong, causing both teams to slip one place to third and eighth with 21 and 14 points respectively.

Dong Thap posted a 2-0 home win over Ninh Binh at Cao Lanh Stadium to climb one place to second with 21 points while their opponents fell two spots to 10th with 12 points.

Reigning champs Hanoi T&T earned a 3-1 away victory over Hai Phong at Lach Tray Stadium to remain in fourth place with 20 points while Hai Phong with 12 points fell two places to 11th.

Thanh Hoa (15 points) jumped three places to seventh with a 1-0 home win over Khanh Hoa who stayed in fifth place with 17 points.

The 2003-04 champions, Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL), were nailed to sixth spot with 15 points after a disappointing 1-1 home tie with Navibank Saigon, who jumped two positions to ninth with 13.

The Central Highlands team controlled the match most of the time and led 1-0 from the final minutes of the first half but let the visitors from Ho Chi Minh City score the equalizer in the final seconds of stoppage time in the second half.
