A festival introducing Vietnamese gastronomy will take place in Ho Chi Minh City between May 27 and May 29.

According to the organizers, the festival will introduce more than 100 special dishes originating from various areas in Vietnam, including the central highlands, the old royal capital of Hue city, and southern parts of the country.

The cuisine will be presented in models of traditional houses and bamboo baskets, carried on bamboo frames.

In addition, the festival will feature folk and traditional arts, including don ca tai tu (southern amateur music), hat boi (a form of Vietnamese theater), mua sap (bamboo pole dance), and gong dance from the central highlands.

Tickets are available at Dam Sen Cultural Park, 3 Hoa Binh St., Dist. 11, for US$7.5 (The price includes food, drinks and admission to the site’s other areas.)
