LOT Polish Airlines, which began providing flights on the routes from
Vietnam to Europe not a long time ago, is leading the market in offering airfare
discounts.



The passengers, who book air tickets soon, can get the tickets to fly with
LOT Polish Airlines from Hanoi to Europe at a surprisingly low rate of 344
dollars (return ticket), not including tax. The passengers, who want to upgrade
the service levels from normal to business class, would have to pay small
surcharges. One would have to pay 300 dollars for a one-way ticket and 600
dollars for return ticket. He would have to pay 350 dollars and 750 dollars,
respectively, to take the flight from Hanoi to any points in Europe or the Near
Middle East



LOT now remains the only airline which provides direct commercial flights
from Vietnam to Eastern Europe. As LOT is a member of the global aviation
alliance Star, when using LOT’s services, from Warsaw, passengers can change
aircrafts to fly to other big cities such as Brussels in Belgium, Amsterdam in
the Netherlands, Berlin in Germany, Geneva in Switzerland, Moscow in Russia and
Paris in France with the airlines which are also the members of Star alliance,
such as Air France, Lufthansa (Germany), Qatar Airways (Qatar), Singapore
Airlines, Cathay Pacific (Hong Kong).



From now until June 30, passengers still have the opportunities to buy
return tickets from Hanoi and HCM City to Europe at 595 dollars, not including
tax, to fly with Air France. The airfares will be applied to the flights which
depart on the days from September 1 to December 15, 2011.



As for Asian air routes, Korean Air is offering the preferential airfare
of 550 dollars for the flights from Hanoi to Seoul (validity for one month).
Meanwhile, the airfare for return tickets with validity for three months is 565
dollars. The tickets are being sold from now to July 19, to be applied to the
flights to depart on June 10-30 and July 14-19.



Budget airline Air Asia is selling tickets which have the starting price
of 49 dollars for the flights from HCM City to Kuala Lumpur. Passengers can
continue booking tickets for the airline’s flights to 70 points worldwide.



Golden opportunities for backpackers



Le Quynh Anh, Marketing Director of TransViet, a travel firm, said that
the South Korean market proves to be most bustling this summer. A lot of South
Korean travel firms have been joining forces with Vietnamese partners to design
new tours. Travelers to South Korea now can coordinate traveling with using
healthcare and aesthetic services.



Especially, the sale promotion program run by Korean Air falls into the
summer holiday. Therefore, it is now the right time for many Vietnamese parents
to bring their children to South Korea in their trips.



The sale campaign where air tickets will be sold for the flights to depart
on July 14-19 targets the families which have children going to high school,
because the students have relax time during that days.



Analysts say that the sales promotion programs of airlines all target
separated clients; therefore, this is the golden time for “Vietnamese
backpackers” to go abroad.



For example, if wanting to travel to Europe, one can purchase cheap return
air tickets from Hanoi or HCM City to Paris, and then travel on express trains
among cities in order to save the fees for accommodations. If he wants to stay
longer in certain cities, he can rent the rooms at Vietnamese diplomatic
agencies or branches of the Vietnam News Agency.



In related news, domestic airlines are also offering cheap air tickets on
some domestic routes. On the occasion of opening a new air route HCM City-Quy
Nhon, Air Mekong is offering 12 normal-class price levels to satisfy the demand
of different classes of passengers. The lowest airfare is 650,000 dong per
one-way ticket.



Meanwhile, Jetstar Pacific is selling tickets with the lowest price at
490,000 dong for the flights from Hanoi or HCM City to Da Nang
