The Dong Xuan Joint Stock Company will offer visitors two more inner city sightseeing tours using electric buses during the upcoming Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1) public holidays.

The routes are designed to show tourists cultural and historical highlights of the capital including the Hanoi Opera House, Quan Su pagoda and Hang Co station, as well as streets famous for their French-colonial buildings such as Tran Hung Dao, Le Thanh Tong, Trang Tien and Tong Dan.

The company has mobilised an additional 10 battery-charged electric vehicles to run on the new routes. These electric buses are operated by well-trained, professional drivers who speak various foreign languages and can tell their guests about places of interest as they roll along.

Since the electric tour buses were launched three years ago, they have been very popular with tourists and have served more than a million visitors to Hanoi, most of them foreigners.
