Viettel to invest US$600 million in Ukraine

Viettel will invest US$600 million in Ukraine to supply broad-band internet services after a mutual of understanding (MOU) was signed last week with an Ukraine partner.

Vladyslav Kaskiv, director of Ukrainian project management unit, told reporters in Ha Noi that this project would last five years, and was part of Viettel’s national project, titled “Open World” by the Ukraine government.

Ukraine is currently the sixth foreign market Viettel has begun operations in. The company has invested in Laos, Cambodia, Haiti, Peru and Mozambique.

SAP unveils analytical tools

SAP has launched the 4.0 releases of business intelligence (BI) and enterprise information management (EIM) solutions from the SAP business objects harnessing the advances of three years of software development.

The BI and EIM releases which unified on a common infrastructure and with a user experience boasting the friendly use of social networking tools bring a range of technology innovations including in real time, with in-memory computing, instant powerful BI in users’ hands.

The releases were expected to empower Vietnamese enterprises with the latest analytic tools to gain deeper insight into their operation.

New service helps customers get lost items

Consortio Services and FPT Retail yesterday jointly launch a new service, of which FPT Shop’s customers can choose an additional VIP-Care Service package with assistance to find and return personal portable assets and valuables.

For the first time in Viet Nam, lost items of value could be returned to their owners thanks to the new innovative service offered by Consortio.

When registering to use the service, customers will receive assistance kits containing key fobs, ID labels for mobile phones, personal portable assets, and other digital devices. On the fobs and labels, there’s a toll-free hot line 24/7 which finders can contact when searching for lost items.
