VietNamNet Bridge – Blind guitarist Van Vuong for the first time will give a solo show in Hanoi on September 29.

He will play famous music works of the world and Vietnam, including Waves of the Danube by Ion Ivonovici, Sibone (Cuban music), Serenade Schubert, Rain in My Heart (French music), Vietnamese Birds and Lo River Epic by Van Cao, Hanoian by Nguyen Dinh Thi.

Vuong said Phuong Ha, a talented young guitarist, and three singers, People’s Artist Thanh Hoa, Huy Khoi and Bao Thang, will participate in his show. The singers will perform four songs written by Van Vuong.

The guitarists said he is organising this show to raise funds for unfortunate people and to earn some money to treat his eyes abroad.

He is anxious about the “fate” of his spiritual product, software that helps blind people to learn to play the guitar. Vuong’s product won third prize at an IT contest for the disabled named “ICT - Lighting up the faith” last year.

He hopes that this software will be burnt onto thousands of CDs to present to the blind in Vietnam.
