VietNamNet Bridge – The Museum of Lam Dong province is changing its style of display by bringing wood and stone into the museum.

The museum has cooperated with forest research agencies to display specimens of leaves, branches and trunks of rare plants in Lam Dong forest and with geological agencies to get samples of various kinds of gemstones and minerals such as opal, chalcedony, quartz, tourmaline and agate.

A display zone for specimens of wild animals from the southern part of the Central Highlands is being built, including tigers, panthers, flying squirrels, bears, etc.

The museum’s Deputy Director Doan Thi Bich Ngoc said bringing natural values to the museum will make the museum livelier. The Lam Dong Museum will pursue this direction to truly become a general museum to help “audiences figure out the land where they come when they visit the museum”, Ngoc said.
