VietNamNet Bridge - After Miss Universe 2008 pageant, Vietnam will host another international beauty contest, Miss World, in 2010.

Miss World Organisation Chairwoman Julia Morley and Hoang Kieu, RAAS General Director, sign the agreement on organising Miss World 2010 in Vietnam.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan on September 30 agreed that Miss World 2010 pageant will be organized in the coastal city of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province.

Le Xuan Than, Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, was optimistic that after the success of Miss Universe 2008, Nha Trang’s infrastructure is good enough for the upcoming Miss World pageant.

Over two months ago, Chairwoman of Miss World Organization, Julia Morley and the current Miss World Zhang Zilin came to Vietnam to attend the signing ceremony on the organization of Miss World 2010 in Khanh Hoa province.

The expenditure for this event is estimated at $10 million and will be financed by the US-based RASS company.

In October 2008, Khanh Hoa officials will meet with RASS and Miss World Organization to discuss the detailed plan.

“Vietnam has nearly two years to prepare for this event but we want to conduct preparation as soon as possible to ensure the best conditions for the contest,” Than said.

The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee and RASS will send a working group to Johannesburg, South Africa, where will host the Miss World 2008 from November 16 to December 12, 2008 to learn some experience.

Miss World 2010 will be the 60^th anniversary of this pageant. Around 130 world-wide beauties will come to Vietnam.
