French actress Emmanuel Bart will visit Vietnam this month for the Panorama film festival.

“Mission Impossible” star Emmanuelle Beart will appear in the second Panorama of French Cinema later this month in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the French embassy in Vietnam announced.

Cesar Award-winning Emmanuelle Beart gained international fame after starring along side Tom Cruise and compatriot Jean Reno in the blockbuster “Mission Impossible” in 1996. She was a member of the jury in Cannes Festival 2004 and was chosen as UNICEF’s Ambassador in 2006.

The 2003 issue of French magazine Elle that had Beart appearing nude at the age of 40 on the front cover is still the magazine’s biggest-selling issue ever.

Partners in the event include the French Embassy, Unifrance, Vietnam’s Megastar Media Company and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The first three days will be held October 20-22 in Hanoi followed by three-day sessions in each of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hai Phong – the whole program ending on October 30.

Panorama will feature the Vietnamese premiere screening of six French pictures.

During the event, Emmanuelle Beart and Fabien Onteniente will give talks about “Disco,” the director’s latest film which has attracted more than two million viewers in France this spring.

Next Tuesday “Disco” will be screened at 9 a.m. at Megastar Cineplex on the seventh floor of Hung Vuong Plaza, 126 Hung Vuong Street, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
