The contest will see the participation of 18 professional singers from eight ASEAN countries: Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei and host Vietnam, as well as some guests from television and broadcasting stations in China, the Republic of Korea and Bulgaria.

Pop starts Dam Vinh Hung, Minh Quan, Ngoc Anh and meritorious artist Hong Ngat, will represent Vietnam in the event.

Folk songs are expected to be performed at the opening night on October 16, while the audiences on October 18 will hear pop songs. The prizes will be given on October 19.
