VietNamNet Bridge – Mrs. America pageant winner, Maureen McDonald, and runner-up, Colleen Francisca, from Singapore in the Mrs. World 2008, will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on October 15 for a promotion of the World Youth Chess Championship 2008 being held in the southern coastal city of Vung Tau.

Vietnamese fashion designer, Vo Viet Chung, will provide custom-made local long dresses (áo dài) for the ladies during their stay in Vietnam.

It is expected that there will be a fashion show of Vietnamese long dresses for the ladies, as well as five other local pageants held in Vung Tau City, the place for where the Mrs. World 2009 final will be held.

Coming together with Maureen McDonald, there will be the first runner-up of Mrs.World 2008, Mrs. Singapore Colleen Francisca and the third runner-up, Mrs. Peru Zambrano Falcon Julisa. Organizers expect that Mrs. World 2007 Diane Tucker of America and Mrs. World 2005 Sima Bakhar of Israel will follow the tour.

The renowned Mrs. World competition is devoted to emphasizing that the world’s married women are extraordinarily beautiful, poised and versatile.
