VietNamNet Bridge – Twenty-three performances were given by students from high schools and universities across Finland in the final round of the Karaoke Singing Contest 2008 held at the Caisa International Culture Centre in Helsinki last week.

The event was organised by the Vietnamese Students Association of Finland VSAF.

One first solo prize went to Vuong Tram, who is studying for a master in economics at Hanken University and another first duet prize to Vuong Tram and Anh Ngoc.

Clips of all the performances in the final round will be posted on VSAF’s forum at
www.vsaf.org.

Speaking the prize-giving ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Huy, representative of the Vietnamese embassy in Finland, congratulated the success of the first Karaoke Singing Contest and suggested the organising board choose some performers to join the next Lunar New Year celebrations in Finland.
