VietNamNet Bridge – The final night of the Miss Vietnam in Europe beauty pageant will take place this Sunday at the Troxy Theatre, London.

Contestants will have to compete in swimwear, night gown and ao dai competitions. The best will be chosen for the interview round. More than VND130 million ($8,000) will be presented to the winner.

The pageant is being held by Tri Viet Company. It attracted nearly 200 Vietnamese girls who are living and working in Europe. Twenty-five competitors passed the qualifier rounds.

Model Xuan Lan, who is in charge of fashion choreography for the pageant, said there might have been more contestants for the final night but difficulties related to UK visas was a barrier.

This is the first time an entirely European beauty contest for overseas Vietnamese girls has been organised. The winner will come to Vietnam to do charity.

Contestants don’t have to speak in Vietnamese because they are assisted by interpreters.

First runner-up of Miss Vietnam Universe 2008 Hoang Yen, singer Ngo Thanh Van, Miss Vietnam Global 2007 Ngo Phuong Lan and some other Vietnamese models will participate in the final night.

The two hosts of this event also come from Vietnam, Ngoc Oanh and Danh Tung.
