VietNamNet Bridge – The Broadway play ’Annie Get Your Gun’ will be performed in HCMC for the first time between November 21 and 30, Lao Dong reports.

’Annie Get Your Gun’ will be performed in HCMC for the first time.

Nearly 100 artisans will join the performance and almost as many technicians will be working back stage including set and costume design, sound and lights.

Principal characters of the play are based on real characters such as Annie Oakley (played by Kim David), a sharpshooter who married Frank Butler (played by Brian Riedlinger) whom she met when she joined the “Wild West Show” of Buffalo Bill (played by Richard Bond). The program will also feature talented artist Le Anh Huy and other professional and amateur singers, musicians and dancers in HCMC.

All proceeds from the performance will be donated to “Poussieres de Vie” (speck of dusts of life), a French nongovernmental charitable organization in HCMC. The organization supports educational and training programs for homeless children and unprivileged people in HCMC.

The play will be performed at 8p.m.on November 21, 22, 28 and at 3p.m on November 23 and 30. Tickets are priced at VND300,000 per unit and are available at Hung Dao Theater in 136 Tran Hung Dao Boulevard, District 1, the Tourist Information Center at 4G-4H Le Loi Boulevard, District 1 and Mekong Merchant at 23 Thao Dien Street, District 2.
