The Chinese actress Joan Chen acted in the movie “The Home Song Stories” by Director Tony Ayres, which will be featured in the Australian Film Roadshow

The Australian Film Roadshow, featuring the work of Heath Ledger, Geoffry Rush and Anthony La Paglia, will tour Vietnam for two weeks beginning later this month.

The event will feature seven feature films – Crackerjack, The Home Song Stories, Look Both Ways, Looking for Alibrandi, Razzle Dazzle, Ten Canoes, Two Hands – and two short films: Crocodile Dreaming and the Academy Award-winning Harvie Krumpet.

Ten Canoes won the Special Jury Prize at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.

Aside from Ledger, Rush and La Paglia, the screenings will feature actors and directors including Rolf de Heer, Joan Chen, Mick Molloy, David Gulpilil, John Clarke, Judith Lucy and William McInnes.

The Roadshow will hit Hanoi from November 14-20, Thanh Hoa Province on November 17, Nghe An Province on November 18, Ha Tinh the next day and Quang Binh on November 20.

The show will stay in Ho Chi Minh City from November 28 to December 3 while it will run in An Giang Province from December 2-4.

Free tickets to all screenings are available at the National Cinema Center and the Australian Embassy in Hanoi from November 6 and Megastar Cineplex and the Australian Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City from November 17.
