VietNamNet Bridge – It took one year for the national Vietnam Television (VTV) and its partner Vietbooks and Eximbank to have the copyright for the CEO Exchange, an American hot TV show about world famous chief executive officers (CEOs).

Each show is two hours long, telling stories about two CEOs and talks to them about their life, secrets of success, and management philosophy.

VTV bought the whole package of 510 shows, with the participation of 1,020 CEO from reputed groups in the world, such as Microsoft, Coca Cola, Sony, and others.

To have this package, the Vietnamese partner has to satisfy many conditions set by its foreign partners, in terms of finance and audiences.

However, Lam Van Tu, Director of the Vietnam Television Centre in HCM City, said the foreign partners are worried about copyright infringement in Vietnam. “We only bought broadcasting rights for this show and we are not allowed to copy it on to disks for commercial sales,” he said.

CEO Exchange show will be aired at 9am each Sunday and re-broadcast at 9pm every Friday on VTV9 channel.

The first show was aired experimentally on November 7.

This show is also broadcasted in many countries like China, South Korea, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
