Children take part in last year’s Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam fundraiser in Hanoi. This year’s event will be held on November 8.

Hanoi’s American Club will host an outdoor music and entertainment event on Saturday to raise money for charity.

Featured activities will include a children’s art competition, football shootout, a bouncy castle, face painting, and outdoor games.

Onstage events will include belly dancing, theatrical performances, and music by local and foreign bands including the Hanoi Jazz Funk collective, The Van Ho Band, Simpson’s Donkey, and Bethany&Friends.

Food and beverages will be available from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The event is organized by Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV), a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to serving orphans, homeless children and other children in need in Vietnam.

The NGO’s programs include educational scholarships; rice, bicycle and wheelchair donations; and funding for surgery.

Tickets for HSCV’s 4th annual fundraiser are available for VND100,000 (US$5.9) for adults and VND50,000 ($2.9) for children.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide aid for impoverished children and families in northern Vietnam.

The American Club is located at 19 Hai Ba Trung Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

More information can be obtained at HSCV’s website: www.hscv.org.
