VietNamNet Bridge – A sculpture exhibition entitled “Saigon Sculpture Symposium 2008” will be held at the HCM City Art Association from November 27 to December 17, introducing artworks by famous sculptors from Vietnam, South Korea, the Philippines and Canada.

A workshop named “Sculpture – the bridge of culture between nations” will be held on November 28.

The event is being organised by sculptors who work at a sculpture camp in Go Vap district, HCM City. These sculptors are big names in HCM City and in Vietnam in general, such as Bui Hai Son, Hoang Tuong Minh, Vinh Do, Nguyen Anh On, Tran Viet Hung, Phan Phuong and Tran Thanh Nam.

These sculptors sought funding for the event themselves and invited Korean sculptor Choi Ok Yeung, Philipino sculptor Noell El Farol and Canadian colleague Morton Burke to join the exhibition.
