VietNamNet Bridge – Italian opera singers are warming up their vocal chords for a performance at the Ha Noi Opera House tonight.

Operatic scale: Italian vocalists will entertain audiences at Ha Noi Opera House tonight.

The award-winning artists include two sopranos Ekaterine Bugianishvili and Perrine Madoeuf; tenor Dionigi D’Ostuni, baritone Andrea Porta and pianist Achille Lampo.

Soprano Ekaterine Bugianishvili won the first prize at the Battistini contest, while tenor Dionigi D’Ostuni won a scholarship in the international contest “Citta di Corato.” He was also a finalist in the international competition “Tito Schipa.”

Soprano Perrine Madoeuf was a semi-finalist at the Montreal International Music Competition, a winner at Cascogne and a finalist in an international contest of Catalan countries.

Baritone Andrea Porta received a special prize at the “Masini” and “Belvedere” competitions.

Pianist Achille Lampo has performed in several concerts around the world and has directed three operas.

The artists will perform classic favourites by Puccini, Mozart and Verdi like La Boheme, Don Giovanni, II Trovatore and La Traviata.

The concert is being co-held by the Italian Embassy and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Viet Nam Performing Arts Centre.
