VietNamNet Bridge - The appropriately named “Life goes on” photo exhibition that opened in Ha Noi yesterday continues a narration about the lives of some people with HIV/AIDS who featured in an earlier exhibition three years ago.

The subjects, shot by Pham Hoai Thanh, live all over the country and appear happy and with radiant smiles.

In the three years since they were first photographed, all of them have made great efforts to overcome their myriad of difficulties. Their stories hold valuable lessons on love, faith, moral strength and hard work for everyone.

Most of them live happily with their family and friends, protected and helped by the community, though some do live alone, in fear and nursing a complex about their disease.

“Each of their stories gives me more optimism about overcoming problems in life,” Mr. Thanh said.
“My message through the exhibition is ‘Being alive is a marvelous thing.’”

The show, on at the Exhibition House on Hang Bai Street from November 27 to December 2, is organized by the Research Institute for Social Development and Ngay Moi (New day Communication Company with support of the Ford Foundation.
