Culture Festival in Moscow

A Vietnam Culture Festival was held at School 282 in Moscow on November 22. More than one-third of students at school 282 are Vietnamese.

Present at the festival were the Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Bui Dinh Dinh, representatives from the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Russian War Veterans Association, the Association of Experts and Army Consultants who had worked in Vietnam along with students and their parents.

Participants attended an inauguration ceremony of a “Vietnam Cultural and History Museum” located in the school. The museum showcases photos and documents written in Russian, introducing the history and culture of Vietnam as well as the relationship between Russia and Vietnam.

School headmaster, Irina Egorova said that the museum will help Vietnamese students gain a better understanding of their national history and special cultural tradition.

To recognise the great contribution of the school and its teachers, Ambassador Dinh presented certificates of merit to the school headmaster and two deputy headmasters.

Guests at the festival enjoyed many art performances presented by both Vietnamese and Russian students.
