VietNamNet Bridge – The contest will be held in Hanoi from November 25 to December 2 for artists who play the bamboo flute, Vietnamese two-chord fiddle, 16-chord zither, Vietnamese two-chord guitar and four-chord lute.

This is the third contest of this kind. It is being held by the Performance Art Agency in coordination with the Vietnam Musicians’ Association and the Vietnam National Music Institute.

Contestants are artists from public troupes, independent artists, and students from art schools. They will be divided into two groups, based on their ages and performance skills.

Some contestants who won prizes at the second contest have registered to participate in this contest. However, they will not be allowed to play the same music works that they performed in the previous contest.

At the closing ceremony at the Hanoi Opera House on December 2, the organisers will present first, second and third prizes for the best players of each kind of musical instrument and some other sub-prizes.
