VietNamNet Bridge – Elite Vietnam on Wednesday officially stated that Duong Truong Thien Ly will be Vietnam’s representative at the Miss World 2008 beauty contest.

Thien Ly will fly to South Africa on November 15 and will join official activities of the contest with other contestants as of November 16.

Thien Ly said she is proud of being the representative of Vietnam at the pageant.

Thien Ly has been preparing for the contest for one month, with the assistance of Elite Vietnam.

Designer Cong Tri is Thien Ly’s fashion consultant at Miss World 2008. Cong Tri has designed a special night gown named “Gown of Love” for Thien Ly on the crown night on December 12. This gown will also compete for the World Designer Awards.

Thien Ly’s ao dai are designed by Sy Hoang.

The Miss World beauty pageant’s crown ceremony will be aired live throughout the world, with more than 2.5 billion expected to tune in.
