VietNamNet Bridge – Tra My, a singer who became known during the first Vietnam Idol competition in 2007, will tour the US in late November.

With investment of around one million US dollars, Tra My and her team have been preparing for the tour for several months. Entitled “My Idol US Tour”, the show will travel to four big cities in Texas and California.

The show in San Jose will be aired live across the US on Hon Viet (Vietnamese Soul) channel, a new TV channel of the Vietnamese community in this country.

Tra My’s shows will be held at theatres of 1,200 to 2,500 seats. Guest singers may include Bang Kieu, Huy MC, Tran Thai Hoa, Trinh Lam, Quynh Vy and Mai Tien Dung.

The singer said she chose the US because she would like to sing for overseas Vietnamese and to partly contribute to preserving and diffusing Vietnamese culture abroad. In addition, the US has the number-one entertainment industry in the world.

Tra My will introduce two new CDs and two DVDs to overseas Vietnamese during this tour.
