Celebrate Christmas with a bite of giant buche

A huge Buche de Noel (log-shaped Christmas cake) is ready to be served up to tourists tonight at Dam Sen Theme Park in District 11, organizers said. | |||||||
| The 15-meters-long, four ton cake, made by Hy Lam Mon (Sweethome) Bakery, will be displayed at the park’s Au Lac Square from 6 p.m. The cake is big enough for 50,000 visitors to get a slice, organizers said. The cake is smaller than last year’s five ton buche, considered the largest-ever Christmas cake in Vietnam, which was also showcased at Dam Sen. Information about how much time and money taken to make the cake has not yet been publicized. Tonight, to celebrate Christmas Eve, Dam Sen will also host various music and fashion performances featuring local singers and models.
