VietNamNet Bridge – A jazz show by Vietnamese and French artists will be held at Idecaf, HCM City, at 3pm, December 6, with famous music works by late musician Trinh Cong Son and world-famous works to be performed.

The show will see the first appearance in HCM City of Evry Jazz Vocal, a troupe established in France in 2002. Evry specialises in playing immortal French songs as well as popular songs by Trinh Cong Son.

At the December 6 show, the troupe will perform the following songs: The visit on a rainy afternoon (by Vietnamese musician To Vu), Yesterday (The Beatles), Night and Day (Cole Porter), The shadow of your smile (Johnny Mandel), Le temps des cerises (Jean-Baptiste Clément, Alain Renard), and others.

The Evry Jazz Vocal doesn’t sing for commercial purposes. The band has participated in many cultural exchange programmes between Vietnam and France and performed in Da Nang, Hoi An, Hue city and Hanoi.

Tonight, December 3, a jazz quartet from Belgium including Francoise Derissen (violinist and musician), Carla Van Effeltaire (pianist and musician), and Alain Rinallo (bass) will play jazz music at the HCM City Conservatory of Music.

The name of this show is There is an Eiffel there, the title of the quartet’s first album.
