Japanese, Vietnamese artists to perform at Gala Pop Rock

| VietNamNet Bridge - Big names from the Japanese and Vietnamese youth music scenes are to perform together in charity concerts in Hanoi on December 28 and Ho Chi Minh City on December 30 in a Gala Pop Rock named “ A Million Hearts - One Rhythm”.
Among them will be singers Shinobu Tomura, the band Gypsy Queen, Ayuko Hayano, Yuko Asami, Shion Miyawaki who will introduce their own brands of Japanese contemporary music to Vietnamese audiences. Vietnamese singers Ho Quynh Huong, Ho Ngoc Ha, Ha Anh Tuan and Luu Huong Giang will also perform at the event. Shion Miyawaki is a dance singer who was the victory in the voting by 15,000 in the AVEC, a prestigious music competition in Japan. She is now the favourite singer in Japan. Singer Yuko won the title ‘New Artist of the Year’ in Japan in 2003. Started as a solo singer since 2006, Yuko is now a famous singer in the country. She also has a number of fans in Vietnam. She is expected to sing songs like Warainagara, One More Time, Itsuka, Thank You which have been her success in Japan. The rock Gypsy Queens band, including four members Shinobu Tomura, Takeshia Akiyama, Masao Sugiyama and Masaaki Ito, is the rock leading group in Japan. The band has made about 80 performing tours to Asian countries. The Pop Rock Gala, not only aims to introduce Vietnamese audiences the Japanese contemporary music but also has a charity purpose with all the proceeds going to Vietnamese Agent Orange victims. The concert will start at 8pm at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi and the Stadium of Military Zone 7, Ho Chi Minh City. The programme is jointly held by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.
