VietNamNet Bridge - The second Buon Ma Thuot coffee festival closed on December 14 in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak.

The festival saw various activities such as a street festival with Central Highlands identity which gave people a new feeling about coffee, parade by thirteen elephants with 20 carriage decorated with flowers on the street, and lion dance by over one thousand of artists.

At the closing ceremony, the organising board commended 28 farmers, who had achieved outstanding success in coffee production. The farmers from Krong Buk, Krong Nang, Ea H’Leo, Krong Ana, Ea Kar, Krong Pach districts and Buon Ma Thuot city were highly praised for their records.

In addition, 25 gold cups were awarded to businesses for their high-quality brands, 300 individuals and farmer households were honoured, and the 16 most impressive booths in the festival were rewarded by the organising board.

Other highlights of the festival included seminars on coffee and the opening of the first coffee transaction of the new Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Exchange Centre (BCEC), the first facility of the kind for businesses and farmers in Vietnam.

The festival made a great contribution to promoting the Vietnamese coffee brand name and integrating it into the world market.
