VietNamNet BridgeThe “Love to Live, Live to Love” music show to educate people about the AIDS pandemic and sensitise them into having a more sympathetic approach towards victims continues its tour of the country.

It’s got four letters: A member of the audience participates in an AIDS-related quiz during the concert “Love to Live, Live to Love” in Da Nang City last week.

The show’s performers urge audiences to stop the discrimination that has been isolating AIDS victims, pointing out that they cannot deprive these people of happiness and that human life should be filled with mutual love.

Audience members, regardless of whether they are healthy or infected, and performers appear onstage hand-in-hand to convey the message of sharing and winning together.

Games and quizzes are organised between performances to educate the audiences on HIV/AIDS, preventive measures and safe sex.

Apart from professional singers and bands, the show also introduces local groups specially trained for the event.

The concert tour is part of an HIV/AIDS prevention project implemented by the US-based DKT International in Viet Nam by ensuring the use and availability of condoms.

Britain’s Department for International Development and Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs are the event’s main sponsors.

The tour, which began on October 3, now enters its seventh week with shows scheduled, in Dong Nai Province on Friday and Vung Tau City on Saturday. Soc Trang, Can Tho, Kien Giang, An Giang, Dong Thap, and Tay Ninh are its next destinations.
