Vietnamese artists join charity concert in Paris

VietNamNet BridgeA charity concert, named “Autumn meeting” with the participation of two Vietnamese artists - one living in Paris and the other from HCM City, took place in Paris on December 7.

The concert, aimed at supporting outstanding poor students, was organised by two opera singers Hoang Lan, an overseas Vietnamese in Paris, and Anh Tuyet from Vietnam, and they were joined by pianists Nam Anh and Olivier Salon.

The sopranos performed famous works of Schubert, Guccini, Poulenc, Bach and Gounod as well as melodies by well-known Vietnamese musicians such as Nguyen Van Ty, Phan Huynh Dieu and Hoang Hiep.

Bui Thanh Tung, General Secretary of the Association of Vietnamese in France, said that the proceeds from the event will be provided as scholarships for outstanding poor students of the HCM City Conservatory.
