An exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City has made people jump for joy.

The installation Nhay 1000 (1,000 Jumps) opened Friday at a local café and features 1,000 photos of all sizes.

Each one is a different image of people jumping: at bars, in an alley, on the beach, on a mountain top, by the river or on a city boulevard.

About 200 pictures cover the walls of Himiko Visual Café, while the rest are projected.

Artist Pham Van Duc and his Irish wife Ciarna Hackett launched the exhibition themselves, inspired by a vacation more than a year ago when the beautiful scenery simply made them jump for joy.

They found happiness when jumping and simply watched others do the same, said the couple in a statement.

Some of the images on display are of the artists themselves.

The exhibition will continue until January 30 at 324Bis Dien Bien Phu Street, District 10.
