Look At Vietnam – A contract worth VND9.6 billion (US$55,000) has been agreed to between the Da Nang People’s Committee and sponsors for Viet Nam’s 2nd international fireworks contest.

Oooh… Ahhh: Winning fireworks by a Canadian group at Viet Nam’s first international fireworks contest in Da Nang City last May.

The event is also a celebration of the 34th anniversary of Da Nang Liberation Day (March 29).

The contestants are all well-known fireworks corporations, including Liuyang Dancing (China), Howard&Sons (Australia), Dragon (Philippines), Caballer (Spain) and the host team.

Preparations to attract sponsors have been carried out since late last year. So far, 30 enterprises have agreed to be sponsors.

Further fund raising campaigns are planned for Ha Noi and HCM City, according to the Committee.

Last year’s contest drew over 30,000 attendees.
