The Gold Album Awards Ceremony will take place at the HCM City-based Hoa Binh Theatre at 8.30pm, February 9.

This will be the second year this award is presented to honour Vietnamese music albums. Nearly 300 albums were sent to the organising board and 40 of them were selected to be introduced to the audience.

Fourteen albums which won the monthly Gold Album awards will compete for the Gold Album of the Year Award on February 9.

The Gold Album 2008 Awards will include two Outstanding Album awards presented by the jury and two Favourite Album awards voted by the audience.

The awards ceremony promises to be a special art show, with the participation of singers Doan Trang, Nguyen Vu, Ngo Thanh Van, Tra My, Ha Anh Tuan, Thu Thuy, Dan Truong, Ngoc Khue, Nam Dong Ke band and Anh Khoa.

The event will be aired live on HTV7 and the TV channels of six provinces of Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hue city, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Kien Giang.
