The Ho Chi Minh City Consular Club’s “A Heart for Art” auction opens Friday, with all proceeds going towards charity projects in Vietnam.

Local and foreign artists, including diplomats, photographers and Vietnamese expatriates, have donated some 114 images for the event at Sherwood Suits in District 1.

Most of the work will be sold via silent auction while 17 pieces will be sold at a live auction.

The Consular Club of Ho Chi Minh City, founded in 1994, is comprised of persons from all countries represented by a Consular mission in Ho Chi Minh City. It is non-political organization that contributes to projects aiming to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged groups, mainly in southern Viet Nam.

The auction is also sponsored by Zen Gallery.

The auction will take place 5:30 PM to 8:30 at Sherwood Suits, 127 Pasteur Street, District 3.

Tickets cost VND200,000 per person and include a glass of wine/beer and canapés
