The 30-strong troupe from the cherry blossom country will collaborate with the Youth Theatre to entertain Hanoi audiences with the world famous classic drama for two nights from Feb. 27-28 before moving to the former imperial city of Hue city in the central region for one-night performance on March 3.

Its 10-day visit to Vietnam will conclude on March 8 after two night performances in Ho Chi Minh City-based Ben Thanh theatre.

Their performances, free and with Vietnamese sub-titles, are aimed at marking the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations.

TEE was founded in 1954 and has travelled around the world since the first overseas performance in New York, the USA, in 1990 with the play “In the Cherry Blossom Forest.”
